After 13 months the television screen just went black. The volume does not get very loud. Toshiba wants $189.00 to repair the audio that was fine before they repaired the broken screen. The channels come on very slowly. Like many HD TV's you have to be facing it straight on to get good picture quality. We sent it in to be repaired and the screen was fixed but it was sent back with an audio problem.
If space isn't an issue, save your money. The only reason I purchased this tv was for convenience and space. Over all, I like the quality of this TV. However, based on the quality and prices of tvs in it's size class, I would definitely not recommend this tv if you have room for a component DVD player. You can definitely get a better TV for less without the built in DVD.
I love the built in DVD slot. Just what I was looking for. I was looking for an easily moveable TV with DVD. The TV is light and easy to move.
The picture is great, the DVD player is perfect, and I have it hooked up to both HD cable and two separate gaming systems (XBox 360 & Playstation 2) and both look great on the television. Very nice TV. I'm very happy with it.
Since it's my bedroom tv, I like that the buttons on the remote are lit up. Oddly, it's gotten better with time (or maybe I'm just used to it now). I can make the people any cool or warm shade of pink or green or orange, just not flesh. It projects forward, so if I'm not in front of it I just have to turn up the volume. I chose this mostly for the price and I think it's an okay tv. I'm having trouble getting the color just right. Other people have complained about the sound, but it's fine on mine.
